Handmade with Love

Every product is designed in Maribor, Slovenia.

Each polymer clay piece is handmade: designed, mixed, sculpted, baked, sanded, cleaned, polished, assembled, and packaged by hand with love.

Polymer clay is a very lightweight material, which means that our earrings don't pull your ear down and you do not feel the pressure that can sometimes occur with earrings. They are very comfortable and you can easily forget you are even wearing any earrings.

Polymer clay contains PVC, which is why every bit of material is used, to avoid creating plastic waste. JELLEK earrings are made to last a really long time, so if you suddenly stop wearing them, we hope you'll regift them or return them (so we can make them into something different) instead of throwing them away.

First, we mix different shades of polymer clay, to create the desired colour. After that, the clay is sculpted (shapes, patterns, textures,...) and baked in the oven. Then, holes are drilled where jump rings will be needed. After that, we sand every piece, until it is nice and smooth. Every piece is cleaned with acetone and some pieces are then coated with polish. After that, we assemble all pieces, with jump rings, charms, earring findings, etc.

When we work with beads, we purchase high quality beads, and then make all the rings, bracelets, and necklaces ourselves. When making "cocoon" crystal necklace charms, we wrap the wire around the crystal ourselves, however the wire is purchased.

For gold and silver parts, gold/silver-plated steel and brass findings are used. We mostly use hypoallergenic findings, however, you should always read the description of the item, so you avoid buying something that your ears are sensitive to. We also added 925 sterling silver and gold-filled items.

The metal jewelry particles, that we do not make ourselves, we get from small businesses all over the world. We design the pieces ourselves and then look for what we had in mind until we find it, or we get it made, so we can assemble the pieces we envisioned ourselves. This also requires a lot of patience, persistence, and crafts. For example: when we make our necklaces, we purchase chains in meters and then assemble the necklaces ourselves. We never purchase finished jewelry and sell it as our own, there is always something to add, to assemble, to do with my own hands.

We prefer quality over quantity, so we make limited pieces, that we might or might not repeat.

Eco-friendly packaging is also used: cardboard box, organic bag, shredded paper, and re-used bubble wrap, which we get in packages we receive or from friends, family.. Every package is made and put together uniquely and with a lot of love.
